Draftsman / draftswoman - Femern Link Contractors

For the Femern project, which is Northern Europe’s biggest construction project resulting in the longest immersed tunnel in the world, we are looking for a self-motivated draftsman who can develop earthworks, roads and drainage construction drawings for the tunnel elements prefabrication facilities.

About Draftsman / draftswoman

The draftsman will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team with the informal tone and a workday with many different and exiting work tasks.

To be successful as a draftsman, you should stay up-to-date with new drafting software and advancements. An exceptional draftsman will demonstrate impeccable attention to the detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline you draft for. 

You will work at our office in Copenhagen but will at times need to fulfill travel requirements and work on-site in Rødby.

Draftsman Responsibilities:

• Produces Works Preparation and Methods drawings for the construction of the tunnel elements and production facilities
• Preparing both sketches and detailed drawings with AutoCAD 2D/3D systems.
• Ensures coordination with Design and Execution teams, and Marine Works Preparation team
• Verifies consistency of the various documents produced
• Communicating with WP engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
• Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the engineering team.
• Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.

Draftsman Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering.
• Experience in Civil Works/Construction industry.
• 4 years’ experience in computer-aided drafting (Autocad).
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own, with proper communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
