The Danish Energy Agency and Danida are seeking a Long-term Energy Adviser (N1) in India as part of the India-Denmark Energy Partnership.
Since 2020, India and Denmark have collaborated on developing increased Indian capacity on integration of renewable energy based on Danish tools and experiences. As Long-term Energy Adviser, you will provide technical advice and capacity building on integration of renewable energy to the partner organisations with the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and Power System Operator (POSOCO) in particular, in order to contribute to a fruitful and trust-based cooperation between the partners and the Danish Energy Agency.
You will be based in POSOCO in New Delhi and working closely with your Indian colleagues, and bridging to the Danish Energy Agency, which is responsible for the implementation and administration of India-Denmark Energy Partnership. In addition to technical inputs and deliveries, the long-term advisor is to ensure that the programme support is well rooted in the partner institutions.
We expect that:
- You have a relevant university education and experience, proven experience and expertise on the Danish, Nordic and/or European power sector, as well as broad knowledge of Danish energy landscape.
- You have knowledge of India’s power sector and culture.
- You have excellent command in spoken and written English.
Your assignment will be two years in New Delhi.
